This year our festival will take place over two nights, celebrating both Young Filmmakers in their own competition and our main event for every film that was submitted to our festival.

The first event takes place at ALRA North in Wigan, at the north west home of The Acadamy of Live & Recorded Arts, on Friday 5th October. Doors open at 6pm with the night starting at 7pm. The winning film from this event gains automatic entry into our main event.

Our main festival night takes place several weeks later at The Turnpike Centre in Leigh, on Saturday 20th October. Again, doors will open at 6pm with the night starting at 7pm. This event usually runs till 10.30pm. We will have a licensed bar and will be selling hot/cold refreshments & snacks also.

Over the past four years we have grown into one of the North West's premier celebrations of cinema. Our event, to be held at the Turnpike Centre in Leigh town centre, is run entirely by volunteers with all proceeds invested in Community and Charity.

Working with Colleges and Universities, we offer work placements and real opportunities for young people to get Festival experience.

We showcase low-budget film-making and up-and-coming talent from across the country and have screened everything from comedies and dramas to documentaries and animations while including work from as far afield as Europe and the USA.

We have three Patrons, our local MP Jo Platt & award winning actors Christopher Eccleston and Ben Batt. You'll hear from our Patrons in the coming months...

Please visit our website regularly as we are always adding fresh content and also subscribe to our Twitter & Facebook pages to hear all the news about the event.
